Blockchain network partners with Paris cancer center to develop data-sharing tool

Patient-focused blockchain network Embleema will collaborate with Paris-based Gustave Roussy Institut to develop  blockchain data-sharing applications.

The blockchain tool will be used in oncology clinical research and development. Patients will be able to access their data through the decentralized ledger. New York-based Embleema's blockchain will also give clinical researchers the opportunity to monitor the safety and  effectiveness of new investigational drugs.

Through the blockchain platform, patients can receive digital tokens for participating in clinical studies. The patient-focused blockchain allows users to sign smart contracts, giving anonymity to patient data. Patients can access the blockchain and alter their contracts at any time.

Patients can also share real-time healthcare data with various life science companies to improve the timeline for new drug development.
