The Missouri Health Connection, a statewide health information exchange, has announced five hospitals and healthcare providers as the first participants in the exchange.
The participants include BJC Healthcare in St. Louis, Mercy in Chesterfield, Mo.; SSM Healthcare in St. Louis; Burrell Behavioral Health in Springfield, Mo. — a provider of behavioral health services; and Nevada (Mo.) Medical Clinic — a rural multispecialty clinic.
The HIE is powered by InterSystems HealthShare, a strategic healthcare informatics platform for information exchange and analytics across a hospital network and a community region. Missouri Health Connection is a non-profit organization governed by members of state government, private healthcare organizations, private practice physicians, professional organizations and consumer advocacy groups.
