Health IT software vendor athenahealth saw 48 percent revenue growth in the fourth quarter of 2013 as compared with the fourth quarter of 2012, according to the company's recently released financial results.
Total revenue for the three months ended Dec. 31, 2013, was $171.6 million, compared to $116.3 million over the same period in 2012. Excluding Epocrates-branded products and tenent revenue, athenahealth brought in $149 million last quarter.
Overall, athenahealth saw a 41 percent revenue growth in fiscal year 2013 over fiscal year 2012, earning $595 million.
