American Well snags former E&Y accountant Keith Anderson for CFO: 4 things to know

American Well appointed Keith Anderson as its CFO, the telehealth vendor confirmed Aug. 20.

Here are four things to know about Mr. Anderson:

1. As CFO, he will oversee American Well's finances, accounting, and mergers and acquisitions efforts.

2. Mr. Anderson, who boasts more than 20 years in healthcare investment banking and public accounting experience, most recently served as managing director and a member of the healthcare team at investment banking firm Piper Jaffray.

3. He previously led the healthcare IT efforts at various investment banks in New York and London, and he has served as a certified public accountant at professional services firm Ernst & Young.

4. Mr. Anderson holds an MBA from the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor and a bachelor's in accounting from the University of Notre Dame in Indiana.
