Amazon is quietly developing wearable that reads emotions

There are rumors that Amazon is designing a wearable device that is capable of identifying human emotions, according to CNBC.

The voice-activated wearable is equipped with a microphone that listens to a user's voice and reads his or her emotional state. It is unclear if the wearable will become a commercial product or how far along it is in development, CNBC reports.

Amazon leveraged its hardware research and development group Lab126 to test the emotion reading wearable as well as the software team that was behind Alexa.
