The American Medical Association is urging physicians who cannot meet Medicare ePrescribing requirements to apply for a hardship exemption by Nov. 1, according to an AMA news release.
If physicians miss the Nov. 1 deadline for applying for an exemption, they may face monetary penalties in 2012.
