Allscripts has announced the merger of Allscripts-Misys Healthcare Solutions with Eclipsys Corporation, which will create the new entity Allscripts Healthcare Solutions, according to an Allscripts news release.
The combined company will focus on connecting healthcare providers across the country through connected healthcare communities, enabling improved patient care at lower costs, according to the release. As the largest network in healthcare, 180,000 physicians, 1,500 hospitals and 10,000 post-acute facilities will now be connected through Allscripts.
