MDOps, a dictation-based clinical documentation software, joined the Allscripts Developer Program for inclusion in the Allscripts Sunrise Acute Care solution EHR tool.
MDOps' software, MDLog, is a mobile application accessible through an iPhone or iPad which can now access the Sunrise Acute Care system. Physicians and other medical staff can dictate notes or other medical information to shorten the documentation time. Dictation software can also save hospitals money over time because it can eliminate the need for transcription services and increase a physician's productivity, according to a news release.
"We are excited to now offer MDLog for Allscripts Sunrise Acute Care to physicians and healthcare systems that are seeking more efficient ways to simplify their clinical workflow," said Avinash Kodey, co-founder and CEO, MDOps, in a news release. "Our goal is to give physicians a powerful, voice-controlled clinical interface to streamline their daily workflow so that they can remain mobile and focused on providing quality healthcare."
Allscripts Developer Program is a collaborative effort in which developers apply to be part of the program and receive access to Allscripts' engine and source code. In return, Allscripts incorporates the software developers' products into its EHR.
