The American Hospital Association has sent its fifth annual survey to hospital CEOs along with an information technology supplemental survey for hospital CIOs.
Recipients of the annual survey with the IT supplement can complete the survey by paper or online by Monday, Nov. 12.
AHA President and CEO Rich Umbdenstock urges all hospital CEOs and CIOs to complete the survey even if specific technologies in the survey have not been adopted and/or implemented. "This is particularly true at a time when we are carefully monitoring CMS' implementation of incentive programs on meaningful use of electronic medical records, which will be followed by penalties in 2015 and later," said Mr. Umbdenstock in the survey's cover letter.
