The following nine states have the smallest percentages of healthcare providers that are ready for meaningful use stage 2, according to research recently conducted by electronic health record vendor Practice Fusion using data from CMS and the Kaiser Family Foundation:
- District of Columbia (10 percent)
- Alaska (11 percent)
- Rhode Island (15 percent)
- New York (16 percent)
- California (16 percent)
- Maryland (17 percent)
- Hawaii (17 percent)
- Maine (18 percent)
- New Mexico (18 percent)
