The following health IT vendor contracts were announced in the past week.
1. Carbondale-based Southern Illinois Health System chose Ascend Software's SmartTouch HR Imaging to go paperless in its human resources department.
2. Michigan Health Information Network Shared Services, based in East Lansing, selected DataMotion Direct Secure Messaging service as an approved direct vendor for the network.
3. Crossville, Tenn.-based Cumberland Medical Center chose DataMotion Direct Secure Messaging service to assist with secure patient information transfer.
4. Dallas-based Baylor Scott & White Health renewed and expanded its contract with MedAssets to streamline system operations.
5. Saint Mary's Hospital in Waterbury, Conn., selected Wellsoft's Emergency Department Information System to enhance ED efficiency and patient care.
6. Texas Health Resources contracted with LogicStream Health to incorporate its Intelligence Platform for strategic management and clinical decision support.
7. Desert Imaging in El Paso, Texas, selected IDS' AbbaDox RAD, a cloud-based radiology IT platform to help manage imaging workflow.
8. Children's Hospital Los Angeles and Madison-based Wisconsin Statewide Health Information Network contracted with Orion Health to implement its Rhapsody Integration Engine, a platform allowing for secure electronic patient data sharing.
9. The University of Kansas Hospital in Kansas City chose Health Catalyst's Late-Binding Data Warehouse and Analytics Platform to provide an overall data snapshot to reduce variation in clinical care processes and make administrative functions more efficient.
