Artificial intelligence is making waves in the healthcare industry, according to a report by Accenture.
For the report, Accenture researchers surveyed C-suite executives and directors from 104 healthcare organizations to identify goals and issues regarding technology implementation and investment.
Here are five survey insights.
- Eighty-four percent of executives said AI will revolutionize the way they interact with customers.
- Seventy-two percent of executives said they already use virtual assistants to foster better customer interactions.
- Seventy-eight percent of executives said participating in strong digital partnerships and ecosystems will give them a competitive advantage.
- Sixty-eight percent of executives said their organization is entering new digital industries.
- Two-thirds of executives admitted innovations their organizations are working toward fall into "gray regulatory areas." Forty-two percent of healthcare enterprises have joined a consortium to self-regulate.
