Thirty-nine percent of health IT leaders identified budget constraints as the biggest challenge to achieving their health IT goals, according to a new survey of 33 hospital executives from KLAS Research.
Here are the seven barriers to achieving health IT goals and the percentage of executives that ranked them as a top challenge:
- Budget constraints: 39 percent
- Lack of staff: 33 percent
- Insufficient interoperability: 18 percent
- Lack of internal alignment: 15 percent
- Change management gaps: 12 percent
- Decentralized data: 6 percent
- Reimbursement: 6 percent
