1. Boston Children's Hospital and 2nd.MD entered into strategic partnership to provide virtual access to specialist care.

2. The North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services integrated data from the state's controlled substances reporting system into EHRs using a service from Appriss Health.

3. Worcester, Mass.-based UMass Memorial Medical Center tapped clinical analytics provider Clew to bring predictive analytics into its remote intensive care unit.

4. UC San Francisco joined forces with CloudMedx to automate its clinical documentation process for spine, hip and knee replacement procedures.

5. The National Institutes of Health partnered with technology company Nvidia to create artificial intelligence tools that support clinical trials.
