2. UMass Memorial Medical Center Notifies 2,400 Patients of Compromised Data
Worcester, Mass.-based UMass Memorial Medical Center notified patients their personal and health information may have been compromised when one of its employees improperly accessed their information.
3. Insider Breach at BCBS of Kansas City Affects 2,546 Members
Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Kansas City (Mo.) notified 2,546 of its members their information was compromised when one of its employees improperly accessed their personal and financial information.
4. Soldiers and Sailors Memorial Hospital Data Breach Affects 657 Patients
Wellsboro, Pa.-based Soldiers and Sailors Memorial Hospital, an affiliate of Williamsport, Pa.-based Susquehanna Health, experienced a data breach that occurred when one if its employees improperly emailed 657 patients' information to Universal American, a health insurance company.
5. Albany Medical Center Nurse Charged With Stealing Patients' Identities
A nurse at Albany (N.Y.) Medical Center was charged with stealing patient information and using the information to steal the patients' identities.
6. Baylor All Saints Medical Center Notifies Patients of Insider Data Breach
Baylor All Saints Medical Center in Fort Worth, Texas notified some obstetrical care patients their medical and personal information may have been stolen by an employee of an affiliate physician practice.
