Six recent health IT vendor contracts and go-lives:
1. Chicago-based Northwestern Medicine and Alfardan Medical chose Allscripts' EHR for their ambulatory care services facility in Qatar.
2. Mansfield-based OhioHealth will install Epic's CareConnect system across its 11 hospitals and 200-plus ambulatory sites.
3. The Massachusetts Health Collaborative, which comprises Southbridge, Mass.-based Harrington Healthcare, Holyoke (Mass.) Medical Center and Heywood Healthcare in Gardner, Mass., installed Meditech's Expanse EHR.
4. Boston-based Partners HealthCare will integrate the commonwealth of Massachusetts' prescription awareness tool into its Epic EHR system.
5. Patient-focused blockchain network Embleema will collaborate with Paris-based Gustave Roussy Institut to develop blockchain data-sharing applications.
6. Ann Arbor-based University of Michigan launched a study to determine whether data collected on an Apple smartwatch can accurately reflect the user's health and predict if the individual will develop common health conditions.
