6 New York Hospitals to Form Alliance

Three New York-based hospital groups have announced plans to form an alliance, bringing six hospitals in the Hudson Valley together, according to a Poughkeepsie Journal report.

The alliance, called Hudson Health Partners, will include a total of six hospitals from Saint Francis Hospital and Health Centers in Poughkeepsie, St. Luke's Cornwall Hospital in Newburgh and Bon Secours Charity Health System in Suffern.

According to the report, each hospital will remain independent and continue to be responsible for its own assets, operations and liabilities. In addition, each hospital will operate under the control of its respective governing board. The alliance will focus on clinical collaborations to expand care, quality and best practices initiatives, physician services, practice management services and general hospital services, according to the report.

Bon Secours Charity Health System includes Good Samaritan Hospital in Suffern, St. Anthony's Community Hospital in Warwick and Bon Secours Community Hospital in Porter Jervis. In addition to its Newburgh campus, St. Luke's Cornwall has a campus in Cornwall.
