The first quarter of 2014 broke records for health IT funding, as venture capital firms poured $858 million into both startups and established companies.
Heavy investor participation in the health IT market continues, including the following five funding announcements:
- Bjond, a startup focused on care management software, has raised $3.25 million in Series A funding.
- InfoBionic, a developer of patient monitoring solutions for patients managing chronic diseases, has brought in $17 million in Series B funding.
- Liasion Technologies, a business integration and data analytics firm with a specialization in healthcare and life sciences, has raised $15 million.
- Reflexion Health has received $7.5 million in Series A funding from West Health Institute to advance the development of its interactive, at-home physical therapy solution.
- TrueVault, a startup that has developed a secure application development interface for apps that use protected health information, has raised $2.5 million.
