Amazon continues to build out its presence in healthcare as products and services evolve.
The company rebranded its virtual care platform to Amazon One Medical Pay-per-visit at the end of June, allowing customers to pay-per-visit for telehealth covering more than 30 conditions or select a membership plan. Prime members can gain membership for $9 per month while others are charged $199 per year.
The company is focused on healthcare clients and partners in many areas of the business, supporting cloud services with Amazon Web Services and other business solutions.
Here are recent roles posted to the Amazon website:
1. Business analyst - healthcare revenue cycle automation and analytics, healthcare finance operations, accounts receivable. Amazon is seeking someone with a background in data visualization tools and business or financial analysis expertise to focus on the healthcare revenue cycle. This individual will support revenue cycle automation and analytics functions, design, develop and maintain solutions as well as implement metrics and dashboards to deepen the company's understanding of accounts receivable performance, payment and denial trends.
2. Healthcare account executive. Amazon Business is seeking an individual to join the team "leading the charge in revolutionizing the healthcare industry," according to the job description. The team works with AWS, One Medical, Amazon Clinic, Amazon Pharmacy and more on the healthcare experience. Amazon is seeking someone with a background in healthcare consultative sales and track record of meeting revenue targets. Compensation for this role is $62,100 to $132,900 per year depending on experience and location.
3. Head of healthcare providers, healthcare and life sciences, Americas, AWS Partner Organization. Amazon is looking for someone with experience in healthcare leadership to work with strategic partners and execute on projects within the AWS Healthcare Providers business. This person will own and manage projects for the America's segment of the division and manage other strategic relationships with C-suite executives and medical device customers. The company is looking for someone who has had a technology leadership role within a provider organization and understands the big issues facing acute, ambulatory and post-acute care settings.
4. Principal, executive healthcare advisor, academic medicine. Amazon aims to hire someone to lead cloud services in academic medicine. The individual will direct executive business development for some of the academic medical centers using AWS and support account executives in advancing opportunities with target accounts. This team is composed of healthcare executives, sales professionals and former chief medical information officers dedicated to new member support.
5. Solutions architect, healthcare, nonprofit health. Amazon is seeking a leader passionate about nonprofit healthcare and supporting providers in implementing cloud computing solutions. This individual will support growth within the World Wide Public Sector practice with responsibility for owning technical engagement and the success of implementation projects. The company is looking for someone with design, implementation or consulting experience and experience working within the healthcare industry. Epic EHR experience preferred. The compensation range for this position is $118,200 to $204,300 based on experience, knowledge and market location.
