Here are three key health IT acquisitions that have been announced or have closed in 2022.
- On June 8, Oracle said that a majority of the outstanding shares of Cerner were validly tendered, and the other conditions to the tender offer were satisfied or waived, closing the $28.4 billion deal that was announced Dec. 20.
- On July 21, Amazon said it plans to acquire virtual and in-person primary care company One Medical. The all-cash deal is valued at $3.9 billion. If the acquisition is approved, Dan Rubin will remain CEO of One Medical.
- On Aug. 7, CVS Health announced that it planned to bid for home health company Signify Health, which is valued at $4.7 billion. The planned bid comes after CVS executives discussed breaking into the home health market.
