A study found that 22 percent of U.S. hospitals plan to purchase a new radiology information system, according to a CapSite news release.
CapSite's report, "2011 U.S. Radiology Information System (RIS) Study," was designed to assess the impact of meaningful use requirements on the RIS market.
The study found that 53 percent of recent RIS purchases were part of a broader strategy to meet meaningful use.
