A survey of 205 hospital IT and clinical leaders from market research firm IDC found that 53 percent identified digital transformation as a top five most important goal for 2023 and 2024.

- Expanding care anywhere initiatives: 24 percent
- Delivering price transparency: 23 percent
- Improving health equity: 23 percent
- Preparing for future crises: 22 percent
- Growing revenue: 22 percent
- Increasing number of consumers/patients: 20 percent
- Optimizing risk sharing and reimbursement: 18 percent
- Increasing staff productivity: 16 percent
- Improving end-user experience: 16 percent
- Focusing on merger and acquisition-related activity: 14 percent
