14 hospitals that have reached HIMSS stage 7 this year

The following 14 hospitals have been recognized with HIMSS Analytics' Stage 7 award, the highest level of electronic medical record progress a hospital or health system can obtain:

Baylor Scott & White Temple Hospital (Temple, Texas)
Cedars-Sinai Medical Center (Los Angeles)
Centura Castle Rock (Colo.) Adventist Hospital
Centura Parker (Colo.) Adventist Hospital
Centura St. Anthony North Hospital (Westminster, Colo.)
Centura St. Anthony Summit Medical Center (Frisco, Colo.)
Edgerton (Wis.) Hospital & Health Services
Stamford (Conn.) Hospital
St. Anthony Hospital (Lakewood, Colo.)
St. Clare Hospital & Health Services-Wisconsin (Baraboo)
St. Mary's Janesville (Wis.) Hospital
Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital Dallas

Since 2005, HIMSS Analytics' EMR Adoption Model has tracked electronic medical record adoption in hospitals and health systems throughout the country. The eight-stage model cumulates with stage 7, in which paper records are no longer used. Stage 7 organizations are also able to share patient information electronically and have advanced data analytics capabilities.

Currently, only 175 U.S. hospitals have reached HIMSS' stage 7.
