$12M Grant Enables Artificially Intelligent Social-Health Information Exchange to Launch in Dallas

A $12 million grant will allow Parkland Center for Clinical Innovation, part of Dallas-based Parkland Health and Hospital System, to build a portal that will facilitate the exchange of patient data across both healthcare and social service sectors.

The Dallas Information Exchange Portal will allow the exchange of information between healthcare providers and social service organizations such as homeless shelters or food pantries, improving care for vulnerable populations.

The Dallas Information Exchange Portal will predict a patient's risk of adverse events by interpreting social risk factors and medical factors using algorithms and analytics. The information will allow all professionals involved in the patient's care to effectively intervene to reduce the risk of an adverse event.
