David Chou has been the CIO at the University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson for nearly two years. Mr. Chou made the Huffington Post list of The Top 100 Social CIOs on Twitter in 2014 and 2015. Prior to joining the University of Mississippi Medical Center, he was the senior director of IT operations at Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi. He also has experience as CIO of AHMC Healthcare in Alhambra, Calif., and director of information systems at Prime Health Care, based in Ontario, Calif.
Kristin Darby, MBA, was named the CIO of Cancer Treatment Centers of America, based in Boca Raton, Fla., in 2014. Previously, she was CIO and vice president with Tenet Healthcare, based in Dallas. During her tenure with Tenet, Ms. Darby was responsible for Tenet's IT initiatives in the Northeast region of the United States. She also has experience serving as CIO and vice president of information solutions at the Risk Management Foundation of Harvard Medical Institutes in Cambridge, Mass., as well as the director of information technology at Fresenius Medical Care, based in Waltham, Mass. Ms. Darby is a CPA and completed an MBA at the Henley Business School in Oxfordshire, England.
Frank DiSanzo, MBA, is the chief information and strategy officer and vice president of Saint Peter's Healthcare System in New Brunswick, N.J. During his time with Saint Peter's, Mr. DiSanzo has led his IT team through a number of large scale improvement projects. Additionally, he headed up an overhaul of the health system's infrastructure, wireless technology and security protocols. He has been active in the IT space since 1983 and served as CIO of Saint Peter's since 2008.
Joy Grosser is CIO and vice president of UnityPoint Health in Des Moines, Iowa. She assumed her current roles in 2009. Before coming to UnityPoint, Ms. Grosser was CIO of the University of California Irvine Health Sciences System. She also served as the executive director of IT at Loyola University Health System, based in Maywood, Ill. Ms. Grosser completed her bachelor's degree in economics and political science at Stanford (Calif.) University. She also holds an MHA from Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis. Ms. Grosser is a member of the College of Healthcare Information Management Executives, Health Information Management Systems Society and American College of Healthcare Executives.
Sreekant Gottimukkala is CIO and vice president of Prime Healthcare, based in Ontario, Calif. Mr. Gottimukkala has been with Prime since 2006. Previously, he was an architect with IBM Global Services. He has also worked with American Express and Intelligroup. He completed a master's degree at Nagarjuna University in Guntur, India. He leads a team of more than 450 employees. Prime is currently involved in a large scale implementation of the Epic EHR in its 35 acute care facilities and affiliated medical groups.
Steve Hess is the CIO for University of Colorado Health, based in Denver. Previously, he was CIO of UCHealth's partner University of Colorado Hospital in Aurora. In his current position, Mr. Hess is responsible for information system management across the whole health system, including an Epic EHR and the My Health Connection patient portal. He also has experience as the CIO of Christiana Care Health System, based in Newark, Del. Mr. Hess completed a bachelor's degree in computer science from the University of Delaware in Newark.
Rose Ann Laureto, MBA, is the chief information and technology officer at ProMedica, based in Toledo Ohio. Ms. Laureto has more than 30 years of health IT experience. Ms. Laureto has also held CIO positions at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and the University of Illinois Medical Center at Chicago. She completed her MBA in healthcare administration from Central Michigan University in Mount Pleasant.
Jonathan Manis is CIO and senior vice president of Sutter Health, based in Sacramento. Mr. Manis has more than 25 years of IT experience. He has been with Sutter since 2006. Previously, he was the system vice president of administrative services and CIO at Provena Health, based in Chicago. He also has experience serving as vice president of information services at Chicago-based Advocate Healthcare and chief technology officer at Sterling Health in Miami. Mr. Manis completed a master's degree in computer science and information systems management at the Naval Academy Postgraduate School in Monterey, Calif.
Roger Neal is CIO of Duncan (Okla.) Regional Hospital. In 2014, Mr. Neal was named to Computerworld's list of "Premier 100 IT Leaders." Mr. Neal is a fellow of the Health Information and Management Systems Society. He completed his graduate degree at Oklahoma State University in Stillwater. He has been with Duncan Regional since 2001. He also has experience in an IT leadership position with Jackson County Memorial Hospital in Altus, Texas.
Marc Probst, MBA, is CIO and vice president of Intermountain Healthcare, based in Salt Lake City. Prior to joining Intermountain, Marc was a partner with Deloitte Consulting. He has also been CIO of a large third party administrator and a partner with Ernst & Young. In addition to his responsibilities with Intermountain, Mr. Probst is actively involved in health IT policy. He sits on the Federal Health Information Technology Policy Committee, which aims to establish health IT policies for the U.S. government. He completed his undergraduate degree in finance from the University of Utah David Eccles School of Business in Salt Lake City and earned an MBA in business information systems from The George Washington University School of Business in Washington, D.C.
Cris Ross, MBA, is CIO of Mayo Clinic, based in Rochester, Minn. He joined Mayo in 2012. Since then, Mr. Ross has led the health system's conversion to a single EHR. Prior to joining Mayo, he was executive vice president and general manager of clinical operability at Surescripts, based in Arlington, Va. He has also held CIO positions at MinuteClinic and United Behavioral Health. Mr. Ross earned his BS in economics from the University of Minnesota – Twin Cities. He also holds an MBA from the Yale School of Management in New Haven, Conn.
