Eleven apps ranging from disease management to electronic health record apps have made the final round in the health and fitness category of the Webby People's Voice Awards.
The Webby Awards, now in their 18th year, are some of the most well-known awards for apps, websites and other online media. The Webby People's Voice Awards are chosen based on consumers' votes.
The finalists in the health and fitness categories include:
- AskMD (ShareCare): Symptom-checker app
- PingMD (Ideo): Communication platform for physicians
- WebMD app (WebMD): Health information and symptom-checker
- MyWellness Journal (Project Tiki): Personal health record app
- Veterans Mental Health app suite (U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs): Mental health resources
- First Aid (American Red Cross): First aid instructions and resources
- Diabetes HealthMate (GlaxoSmithKline): Diabetes management app
- CVS/pharmacy Mobile App (Matter Communications): Prescription management app
- My Pregnancy Today (BabyCenter): Pregnancy app
- Fit Star: Tony Gonzalez (FitStar Labs): Fitness app
- Zyrtec AllergyCast (JWT NY): Pollen-tracking app
Voting ends this week, and winners will be announced at the end of the month.
