Epic is the most-used electronic health record among physicians, according to a recent survey from Medscape.
The survey of 18,575 physicians across 25 specialties showed Epic to have a commanding lead in a fairly crowded field. Epic leads with 23 percent of users, though 22 percent of respondents reported using an EHR not listed on the survey.
The top 10 most-used EHRs were found to be:
Epic (23 percent)
Cerner (9 percent)
Allscripts (8 percent)
eClinicalWorks (6 percent)
NextGen (6 percent)
Meditech (5 percent)
Centricity (4 percent)
Practice Fusion (3 percent)
VA-CPRS (3 percent)
athenahealth (2 percent)
