Wyoming Governor Backs Health Insurance Exchange

Wyoming Republican Gov. Matt Mead told state legislators he supported certain measures of a health insurance exchange, according to an Associated Press/Billings Gazette report.

Gov. Mead particularly supports the recommendations of the Wyoming Health Benefits Exchange Steering Committee, which approved the option of a state-run exchange, the report said. Wyoming legislators must now submit a plan to start an exchange by Jan. 1, 2013, although no timetable has been set for the process.
