Winneshiek Medical Center in Iowa Provided Nearly $3.85M in Community Benefits in 2010

Winneshiek Medical Center in Decorah, Iowa, provided nearly $3.85 million in community benefits last year, according to a hospital release.

That amount includes $3,180,600 in uncompensated care and $669,143 in free or discounted community benefits that Winneshiek Medical Center provided Northeast Iowa residents.

Community benefits include such services and programs as health screenings, support groups, counseling, immunizations, nutritional services and clinical experiences for students entering health professions.
