WellSpan York (Pa.) Hospital is investing $50 million in a construction project, according to a York Dispatch report.
The project will upgrade the emergency department in a 46,000-square-foot renovation. It will also include the addition of a helipad. The new emergency department aims at improving wait times and eliminating hallway beds. It's projected to treat 88,000 patients annually by 2025.
The project is expected to be complete by fall 2017, according to the report.
