Waystar will acquire fellow healthcare payment technology provider Patientco, the companies said July 15.
Waystar offers cloud-based healthcare payment software, and Patientco provides software for patient engagement, communication and omnichannel payments. The companies are combining to offer a more comprehensive healthcare payment platform.
"Together, we will further simplify how patients engage with healthcare providers and provide transparency, empowerment and ease of use that is needed to plan and pay for healthcare," Waystar CEO Matthew Hawkins said in a news release. "Providers will benefit from increased patient satisfaction and fuller reimbursement."
