Beckley, W.Va.-based Community Health Systems received a $2 million grant to enhance rural care in the state, according to the Register Herald.
The grant from the U.S. Health Services Resources Administration will help improve access to care for West Virginia residents.
"Centers like Community Health Systems fill a critical gap in health care in southern West Virginia, ensuing that low-income residents have consistent access to healthcare," U.S. Rep. Evan Jenkins, R-W.Va., told the Register Herald.
