UConn Health revenue to top $1B in 2025 — a 133% increase over 10 years

Farmington, Conn.-based UConn Health expects to hit more than $1 billion in patient care revenue in fiscal year 2025,

The $1 billion in projected revenue represents a 133% increase over the past 10 years. It also highlights the increasing volume of patients visiting UConn John Dempsey Hospital, its pharmacy operations and the health system's physician practices.

UConn Health is also seeking to add 23 medical surgical beds at John Dempsey Hospital due to high demand. If approved by the state's office of health strategy, the new beds would come in addition to its current 234 licensed and staffed beds, which include 175 medical surgical beds.

"The success that we're seeing in terms of the net patient revenue, the volume of patients coming in, and being able to attract and retain workers is due to a team that truly deserves many kudos," Andrew Agwunobi, UConn Health CEO and executive vice president for health affairs, said in a June 27 news release.
