Aurora-based University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus received the largest private gift in its history — a $120 million commitment from the Anschutz Foundation.
The donation will support faculty recruitment and retention, research opportunities, industry partnerships and the construction of a 390,000-square-foot health science building.
The new health science building will focus on mental and behavioral health and house faulty offices, classrooms and exhibit space.
With its latest gift, the Anschutz Foundation has invested nearly $300 million in the UC Anschutz Medical Campus.
UC Anschutz Medical Campus Chancellor Donald Elliman Jr. said the landmark gift, "enables us to fully capitalize on the momentum we have seen on this campus since our beginnings here just 17 years ago."
