Swedish Covenant Hospital Starts $8M Women's Health Project

Swedish Covenant Hospital in Chicago has broken ground on its Mayora Rosenberg Women's Health Center, an $8 million facility that will provide increased access to healthcare for women on Chicago's North Side.

About $2.4 million of the project will be financed through tax increment financing funds, while the remainder will come from hospital investment income and fundraising.

Swedish Covenant executives said the goal of the new center, expected to open this fall, is to help women from lower socioeconomic groups receive more preventive care.
