St. Luke's Health System in Boise, Idaho, has formed a partnership with SelectHealth, a health plan part of Salt Lake City-based Intermountain Healthcare, to offer new value-based health insurance benefits to Idaho residents.
St. Luke's and SelectHealth's alliance will offer a pay-for-value model, which will align incentives for all healthcare parties, minimize administrative overhead and focus on improving members' health.
"The mutual goals of this alliance are to achieve the triple aim of better health, better care and lower cost in order to provide value for all stakeholders," St. Luke's President and CEO David Pate, MD, said in the news release. "We're committed to this effort, and we are thrilled to be working with SelectHealth to develop this new approach."
