South Bay Hospital Plans $33M Upgrade

 

South Bay Hospital in Sun City Center, Fla., is planning a $33 million upgrade, according to a report by The Tampa Tribune.

The project will include the addition of a new patient tower and a 2,660-square-foot catheterization laboratory as well as renovation of patient care areas. The tower will feature 12 new intensive care unit patient rooms and 14 additional telemetry patient rooms for cardiac monitoring, according to the report.

The project is a part of parent company HCA West Florida's massive expansion and renovation plans totaling more than $136.8 million.
