Three University of California, San Francisco hospitals are slated to open Sunday as part of a $1.5 billion medical center at Mission Bay, according to The San Francisco Examiner.
They are the UCSF Betty Irene Moore Women's Hospital, UCSF Bakar Cancer Hospital and UC San Francisco Benioff Children's Hospital San Francisco, the city's first standalone children's hospital.
The new 183-bed children's hospital features light-shadow installation and rotating art exhibits in the lobby, as well as mural-splashed walls, a teen lounge and multiple outdoor spaces, according to the report.
At all three hospitals, each room comes with a 65-inch flat-screen TV featuring OneView, a software program that connects patients with their latest medical information, including their healthcare team, the report reads.
Additionally, the report notes, the medical center will feature the only operating hospital helicopter pad in San Francisco "to transport critically ill babies, children and pregnant women from outlying hospitals."
