S&P Global Ratings has revised the outlook to stable from positive and affirmed the "BBB+" rating on Buffalo, N.Y.-based Catholic Health System and its bonds.
"The revision of the outlook to stable is due largely to CHS' recent pattern of weaker earnings," said S&P analyst Margaret McNamara.
The rating affirmation reflects S&P's view of CHS' improving balance sheet and leading market position.
