Standard & Poor's Ratings Services has raised its long-term rating to "A" from "A-" on the Illinois Finance Authority's series 2012 fixed rate bonds issued on behalf of SwedishAmerican Hospital in Rockford, Ill.
The rating action was based on a number of factors, including SwedishAmerican Health System's full affiliation with University of Wisconsin Health in Madison in early 2015, according to Suzie Desai, an S&P credit analyst.
The hospital's outlook is positive.
