Standard & Poor's Ratings Services has raised its underlying rating to "BBB" from "BBB-" on the California Health Facilities Financing Authority's existing debt issued on behalf of the Pomona (Calif.) Valley Hospital District.
"The raised rating reflects the application of our revised criteria," said S&P credit analyst Robert Dobbins. "The rating further reflects our view of Pomona Valley's exceptionally low debt levels, excellent maximum annual debt service coverage, and strong operating margins."
Pomona Valley operates an acute care hospital with 415 beds.
