S&P has lowered its long-term rating to "BBB-" from "BBB" on Rock Springs, Wyo.-based Memorial Hospital of Sweetwater County's series 2013A fixed rate revenue bonds, affecting $26.8 million.
"The rating action reflects the application of our U.S. nonprofit acute care standalone hospitals criteria," said S&P credit analyst Allison Bretz.
The outlook is stable, reflecting S&P's anticipation that MHSC will continue to improve financial performance.
