S&P has assigned an "A+" long-term rating to series 2015 refunding bonds issued on behalf of Children's Hospital of Alabama in Birmingham.
"The rating reflects our assessment of CHA's very strong enterprise profile and strong financial profile," said Suzie Desai, an S&P analyst. "The very strong enterprise profile reflects our view of CHA's position as the only provider of comprehensive tertiary and quaternary pediatric services in the state, and the strong financial profile reflects our view of CHA's healthy unrestricted reserves, improving debt-related ratios and solid operating performance."
The hospital's outlook is stable.
