Aurora, Ill.-based Rush-Copley Medical Center is planning a $52.7 million expansion and renovation project, according to a Crain's Chicago Business report.
The plans include adding three operating rooms, bringing the total number of ORs in the hospital to 14. It also plans on upgrading existing ORs as well as replacing or expanding its post-anesthesia recovery unit, surgical preparation area and inpatient endoscopy area.
The hospital has filed an application with the Illinois Health Facilities Planning and Review Board. If approved, the project is slated to be complete by the end of 2018, according to the report.
