Revenue at Cadence Health in Illinois Surpasses $1B

In fiscal year 2012, Winfield, Ill.-based Cadence Health recorded more than $1 billion in total revenue — the first time the system has surpassed that mark, according to a Crain's Chicago Business report.

Cadence Health formed in April 2011 through a merger between Central DuPage Hospital in Winfield and Delnor Hospital in Geneva, Ill. In the fiscal year ended June 30, 2012, the health system posted $1.07 billion in revenue, a 12.7 percent spike from $951.5 million in pro forma revenue between the two hospitals in 2011.

Cadence Health's operating income also increased 32 percent, from $81.9 million in 2011 to $108.2 million this year, according to the report.
