Healthcare organizations should maintain organized data to achieve revenue cycle success in today's value-based care environment, advised James Dressman of Professional Medical Services, a Fort Worth, Texas-based financial-solutions provider.
He stressed that out-of-control data causes health systems and patients to lose money and that maintaining organized data can help prevent losses.
"Today's health systems cannot afford the crippling losses they might sustain if they don't manage data well," said Mr. Dressman. "By uniting systems, investing in staff and implementing denial-prevention solutions, facilities can stay one step ahead of all the changes overtaking the healthcare field."
