Healthcare organizations across the country are working to manage claim denials effectively and prevent revenue leakage. One way to help with this is to focus on the revenue cycle team's success, according to Kareem Aqleh, vice president of revenue cycle for Wound Care Advantage.
Mr. Aqleh shared the following tip with Becker's Hospital Review:
"When it comes to denials management, develop a strategy with attainable goals to help your team be more successful," he said. "Review your personnel, technologies and processes and identify areas that need improvement. It's critical to provide guidance to help your team successfully tackle their work list or work queues. Providing a spreadsheet and saying 'go for it' simply isn't enough."
