There were more than 700 private equity deals in the healthcare industry in 2018, and the healthcare sector continues to draw private equity investors.
Here are nine private equity deals announced in the past month:
1. Blue Wolf Capital Partners acquired RHA Health Services, an Asheville, N.C.-based provider of health services for those with intellectual and developmental disabilities, behavioral health needs, and substance use challenges.
2. The CapStreet Group recapitalized Surgical Notes, a Dallas-based company that provides software to ambulatory surgery centers.
3. Care Advantage, a portfolio company of BelHealth Investment Partners, acquired Allegiance Home Care, a provider of in-home personal care services with offices in Sterling and Alexandria, Va.
4. Centerbridge Partners entered into a definitive agreement to acquire GoHealth, a Chicago-based provider of direct-to-consumer sales, market and customer service solutions for health insurers.
5. Warburg Pincus signed a definitive agreement to acquire a majority interest in WebPT, a Phoenix-based provider of software for outpatient physical therapists, occupational therapists and speech-language pathologists.
6. Advarra, a portfolio company of Genstar Capital, agreed to acquire Forte, a Madison, Wis.-based provider of software for clinical trial management, clinical data management and research administration.
7. Resonetics, a portfolio company of GTCR, acquired Tru Tech Systems, a Mt. Clemons, Mich.-based provider of precision grinding services for the medical device market.
8. Great Hill Partners recapitalized Pareto Health, a Philadelphia-based employee benefit group that helps businesses with more than 50 employees self-fund health benefits.
9. H.I.G. Capital agreed to acquire BioVectra, the contract development unit of global pharmaceutical company Mallinckrodt.
