PatientKeeper, a Waltham, Mass.-based provider of healthcare clinical and financial applications, revealed a new version of its electronic physician charge capture solution.
The new version, PatientKeeper Charge Capture – Office Edition, aims to help physician practices electronically capture professional charges from various sources such as PC or laptop computer, smartphone or tablet, the company said via news release. PatientKeeper adds the new version is able to interface with current practice management and billing systems.
"Manual, paper based charge processes are fraught with opportunities to miss charges. Even provider organizations that have sophisticated EHRs in place often find those systems provide insufficient professional charge capture functionality and versatility," said Paul Brient, CEO of PatientKeeper. "For nearly 20 years, PatientKeeper has helped leading hospitals and health systems increase the efficiency of their operations. Now we're doing the same for smaller practice groups."
