Parasail Health, a San Francisco-based patient financing provider, released an open application program interface.
Here are three things to know.
1. Providers may try out the service at no cost, as Parasail does not charge transaction fees to new partners for the first 90 days, according to a news release.
2. Through Parasail's patient payment app, the company said patients may apply for financing from their smartphone or computer in less than two minutes with no effect on their credit. Patient can also comparison shop fixed-rate loan options.
3. Adam Tibbs, Parasail's co-founder and CEO, said, "There is a staggering need across the entire healthcare infrastructure to help patients and practices with an immediate solution. Opening our API to every company in the space — and charging no transaction fees to try it — will help more patients and doctors get financial relief immediately."
